you gotta want it

I need to get motivated . . you’re so motivated . . why can’t i be more motivated like you . .

Hang on . . let me grab those special pills i take before my training sessions . . NOT.

You think i’m always motivated to go to the gym?

You think there aren’t time when i’d rather sit at home . .  where it’s warm . . cozy . . in between the sheets . . lazying around just like anybody else?

I think that some people are born with a more “go-getter . . gotta get this shit done” attitude than others but we’re all in the same boat in terms of CHOICE.

Sure ..  it would be SO easy for me to skip a workout . . i don’t train with anyone . . no one would know . . no one would care . . but I would know . . and if you can’t be real with yourself who can you be real with?

If you can’t even stick by your own side . . follow through with what you say you’re going to do . . what have you got going for you really?

Motivation doesn’t mean being the energizer bunny all the time . . that just aint gonna happen . .

There’s times when you feel like DEATH . . had the worst bitch fight with your mate . . broke up with your boyfriend . . had to stay late at work. . and the LAST thing you want to do is drive ALLLL the way to the gym and do ANYTHING.

But soon as you make that commitment to yourself . . there’s no way out . .

It’s a lock in contract . . no get out of jail free card . .

It means getting in there . . getting it done . . doesn’t matter what you’re feeling . . what undies you’re wearing . . what you’re wearing . . that you didn’t sleep last night . .  haven’t eaten much for the day . .

there’s not even an option . . just as much of a motion as going to the toilet . . eating . . sleeping . . it just gets done.

I may feel like shit before hand . . it may be painful during . . but afterwards i feel invincible . . proud . . that I didn’t choose to stay at home watching the season finale of Grey’s Anatomy . . that i made the right choice . .

You gotta work for motivation . . just like anything else . . from DOING . . not from sitting around wondering “what if’s” and telling yourself “i’m gonna start on Monday” . . that’s bullshit . . 

First and last step is you gotta want it . . that’s all it is . . you gotta really want it . . 100% . . in or out . . hardcore do WHATEVER it takes want it . . the rest will take care of itself . .
