Everyone’s always in a rush . . rush rush rush . .
gotta go to work . . rush rush rush
gotta eat . . rush rush rush
gotta go to the shops . . rush rush rush
And i think this “rush rush rush” attitude is why people are always looking for the easy way out . . . always looking for the quick, no strings attached, give it to me NOW diet.
They simply don’t have the “time” to diet for real . . or to exercise for real . . so they opt for the home brand versions of being healthy . .
You know . . those pieces of equipment you see on the infomercials . . 6 days to abs . . wooooo! anything that will save you the hassle of actually stepping foot outside the front door right?
or those “fat free” bar’s that are full of sugar but you don’t bother reading the label . . it says it’s fat free . . so it must be good for you . .
When you start a new job do you learn the short cuts? no . . you learn what needs to get done . . when to do it . . what happens if there’s a situation . . the information is DEEEP . . and it may take you YEARS to learn the ropes . . and you learn the LONG way . . so you do it the right way . . until it becomes second nature and you have your own style for doing things that takes up less time . .
same goes with diet & exercise . . it’s an ENDLESS tunnel of knowledge that must be learned . . trialled . . tested . . re-trialled . . re-tested . . until one day . . you figure out a formula that works for you . . that makes going to the gym more manageable or eating better more manageable . .
you don’t quit your job when the going gets tough . . you need the money . .
so why you quitting on your body?? the ONLY thing that is getting you to work?? to the supermarket . .?? it’s the only thing that is keeping you alive . .
your body is your own personal business . . you’re the director . . you call the shots . . YOU decide what is an investment and what isn’t . . but ultimately . . that responsibility means alive or dead.
